  • Abstract

    DGIST Professor Sangaraju Shanmugam in cooperation with the research team of Tarbiat Modares University in Iran successfully developed a superhydrophilic Ni-Fe-P electrode that can be used in water electrolysis system, and the result was published on 18th November 2020 in ACS Applied Materials & Interfaces (IF : 8.758, 10.35%).

    The super-hydrophilic binder-free Ni-Fe-P electrode fabricated using the pulse electro-electrode method had excellent catalytic activity and excellent durability in OER and HER reactions.

    This study suggested the possibility of using it as an electrode for a large-area water electrolyzer system in the future.

    에너지공학전공 샨무감 교수 연구팀은 이란 Tarbiat Modares 대학 연구팀과 협력하여 수전해시스템에 활용가능한 초친수성의 Ni-Fe-P 전극을 제작하였고, 이 연구 결과는 11월 18일 ACS Applied Materials & Interfaces (IF : 8.758, 10.35%) 에 게재되었다.

    펄스 전기전착법을 사용하여 제작한 초친수성의 바인더-프리 Ni-Fe-P 전극은 OER과 HER 반응에 우수한 촉매 활성과 뛰어난 내구성을 지녔음을 확인하였다.

    본 연구를 통해 제작한 촉매전극은 향후 대면적 수전해조 시스템 전극으로써 활용가능성을 시사하였다.
